Working under the management of the Mitrovica Basic Court, Supervisory Judge Ferki Xhaferi and Assistant Administrator Aferdita Tahiri lead a team of 7 judges and 33 administrative staff.

This court hears cases categorized in the General Department, which handles most criminal, civil and minor offence cases. Approximately 1700 cases are filed in the Mitrovica Basic Court branch each year.

Serious Crimes cases and cases related to juveniles are heard at the Basic Court.
